We design and construct buildings for occupants!

Occupants want comfort, wellness and efficiency from their buildings where they live learn and earn. The measure for comfort and wellness is temperature, humidity and CO2. The application of design and construction for comfort and wellness is building science. Building science is the process of best selection of construction factors to achieve an energy balance of building envelope, mechanical systems and airtightness. The principal areas to achieve comfort and wellness are temperature, humidity, and CO2. All are important for healthy living.

The means to measure an energy balance is the Energuide Rating System (ERS). ERS is the way that we valid high performance construction such as Energy Star, Net Zero, Passive House.

Net Zero, the ultimate in comfort wellness and efficiency. Therefore the Energuide Rating System is the proxy measure for comfort wellness and efficiency.

Some of the most common changes include adding insulation to the attic or basement, sealing cracks, gaps, or weaknesses, retrofitting exterior wall insulation, and improving R-Values around the home. Heating and cooling costs account for the majority of our energy consumption, so without these improvements, thousands of dollars are often wasted year-round from poorly performing homes.
